![]() What I find interesting is that you theoretically can keep going as much as you want in the current build. I mean, you have to defend the crops and depending on what crops you plant, different enemies are coming in… but enemies may also just attack your hut – in which case it could result in a gameover for you. Voltaire can’t complain, though, as he’s got no beef… Okay, sorry, I’ll see myself out.Īt its core, the game resembles more of a Tower-Defense game, I’d say. Sadly, though, the crops he’s growing end up attracting monsters at night which is why he has to risk his life (and house!) to protect his food source to sustain this new playstyle. Thus, he retreated to some distant hut with a wee bit of farm land where he’d grow his own food. See, in the game, Voltaire – Dracula’s last-born – has sworn off meat and decided that the V in his name stands for vegan. ![]() It’s quite easy to get me interested and when I saw Voltaire’s store page, I got relatively hooked on it given that it not only is an action-roguelite battle sim with an Undead/Vampire aesthetic and a whimsical art style… but it also is a farming sim, sort of? I see “rogue” in any of the tags, and I hit the download button. With the Steam Next Fest sneaking up on us again and approaching slowly in the next few weeks, I’ve been meaning to check out a bunch of demos again and for today’s post, I got the opportunity to play Voltaire: The Vegan Vampire‘s demo, an action-roguelite with farming elements by Digitality Games, ahead of the event – and honestly, I’m really digging it.

I also experienced 2 times, after more than 30 minutes of encoding, that the program just froze. Trimming does not always happen at the time you specified - up to sometimes 1 second difference. Sometimes you see obvious hickups at the point where the files are merged together.īut also you then see stuttering playback on either QT player or the VLC player. Merging/merging media files doesn't work well either. ![]() To be honest, these serious problems do not happen with all source files but they do happen (at random?). Especially if you use 5.1 audio.Īlso you sometimes hear small crackles/clicks in the audio. Sometimes even with major problems like audio syncronization problems. ![]() Why can't people make a native looking program? This is where Shutter Encoder flagrantly fails! It has the ugliest, unclear un-intuitive interface that I have ever seen/used. So I also expect programs on macOS to work as they should and conform to macOS guidelines in terms of UI. I am basically still testing many programs now to see what is good and bad. The OS interface is joy to use if you had used Windows for a long time. Coming from Windows, it was quite a relief. ![]() The header says "The professional compression tool".
![]() ![]() If you are downloading very large files, you can stop the process at any time and resume it later. SSL/TLS and GZIP enabled web servers are also supported. The application includes "URL Grabber" and "Scheduler", supports single-threaded (one by one in order) and multi-threaded downloading. This batch link downloader can speed up the process of downloading thousands of files in bulk from your list of URLs. Looking for a mass URL downloader? If you need to download a large number of links and wish to avoid saving them individually, this application can definitely help. The files will be saved in quick succession, and the job progress is displayed in the status bar. Essentially, all you have to do is paste a list of URLs in the text field and then click the "Download All" button. It enables you to save multiple files as part of the same job. Vovsoft Batch URL Downloader is one of the simplest applications of its kind, so it can prove to be a good alternative to overly-complex download managers. Some download managers may be more complex than some users would like. ![]() ![]() Find low everyday prices and buy online for delivery or in-store pick-up. My point was that ER wasnt first soulslike game with dedicated jump button, and that jump button is quite new invention (only few years old) for soulslikes (if we treat it as separate genre). Shop Asterigos: Curse of the Stars Deluxe Edition PlayStation 5 at Best Buy. Jumping is a part of core gameplay of these games (they have platforming elements and/or puzzles and/or some enemy attacks require jumping). I checked most of Soulslike games since original Demons Souls (2009), and majority of them have jump (or jump attack) only available when running (Souls trilogy, BB, Code vein, Surge games, Ashen, Lords of the fallen, Mortal shell, Dolmen, Nioh).ĭedicated jump button was used in Darksiders3, Sekiro and Jedi Fallen order (2019) (if we call them soulslikes- for me they are) and then in Hellpoint (which is a total copy of souls so definitely a soulslike), and lastly in ER and Steelrising. The biggest divisive factor with Asterigos is that it tries to appeal to both fans of more traditional RPGs and Souls games by combining elements of both, and as a result doesn’t excel at either. I dont understand why cant I? Its what happened. Originally posted by Aria Athena:I wouldn't call it a soulslike, but regardless, you can't put it in a relatively new category and say games like these didn't start having dedicated jump buttons until like 2018. |
